New - Botanical Boost 30ml

Our new "Botanical Boost"

Far North Soap has been busy formulating a face/décolleté cream with no less than 7 active ingredients in response to your requests for help with fine lines & wrinkles.

These ingredients are sourced from cruelty free, natural, organic and/or vegan suppliers and we will list one active ingredient daily, its source and effects.

 1.  Liftonin ® The raw materials for the production of LIFTONIN® are of vegetable origin. The active ingredient contains no products of animal origin. No mineral oils were used in the production

LIFTONIN® is an active ingredient complex against skin aging and for reducing wrinkles and lines. It has been specially designed to improve the skin structure. Its active ingredients are botanical silicon from millet and skin-tautening tannins from the oak. In vivo studies with only 2% LIFTONIN® confirm an improved skin structure by reducing wrinkles and lines, as well as a generally younger appearance after 28 days of use.

2. Siberian Ginseng Extract is a 25% active, aqueous Extract consisting primarily of the complex polysaccharides and associated glycoproteins from the Siberian Ginseng Root.

It is a skin-tightening ingredient that can help to physically 'lift' sagging skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The use of Siberian Ginseng Extract is totally safe and non-invasive.

3. Lupine peptides is a blend of penta- and hexa- peptides derived from lupin flower protein that works as an MMP inhibitor, thus preventing MMP activity following exposure of the skin to sunlight. By doing this the lupine peptides blend prevents collagen and elastin (the main proteins making up connective tissue) breakdown catalysed by MMP activity, helping to renew skin’s outer layer, reduce the depth of wrinkles & stimulate the production of collagen & elastin, giving the skin a younger look.

Specific information about hexapeptides.  Muscles contract when they receive a neurotransmitter release from a nerve. Like Botulinum Toxin A (botox), hexapeptides (which are produced from plants) release the amount of nerve stimulation on the local muscle tissue being targeted but unlike Botulinum Toxin A, hexapeptides don’t paralyse the muscle completely. Instead they gently and temporarily reduce the strength of specific muscle contractions, and so the formulation of new lines and wrinkles are reduced and old lines appear much less prominent, leaving the skin smoother and younger looking.

4. CoQ10, also known as ubiquinone or coenzyme Q, is an enzyme produced naturally in the human body, found in every cell and tissue. It is involved a number of biological functions including helping to produce energy, neutralizing free radicals, and keeping cells both inside the body and in the skin healthy.

A young body has the ability to produce as much CoQ10 as it needs. However, various factors such as aging and stress can lower levels of CoQ10. As a result, the ability of cells to regenerate and withstand stress declines.

5. Hyaluronic acid - Popularly called “The Fountain of Youth”, it is a common ingredient in skin care products, added for its skin rejuvenation properties. This Hyaluronic Acid is made by producing enzymes from a bacteria-based biofermentation process and NOT sourced from poultry (roosters' combs), as are many others. Hyaluronic acid is what gives the skin its volume and fullness. It is one of the chief components of the extracellular skin matrix and it contributes significantly to cell proliferation. Aging can result in the loss of hyaluronic acid, which in turn results in skin that has less volume and the formation of wrinkles and folds.

•It is the most efficient humectant that can attract from 600-1000 times its own weight in water so it plumps up the skin and gives it volume.

•Its hydrating properties result in increased skin smoothness, softening and decreased wrinkles.

•Its rejuvenating properties result in increased skin smoothness and softness. It also protects the cell structure and defending against external threats and bacterial infections.

•It also exhibits viscous flow, elastic and pseudoplastic properties. This property is unique to HA.

•By its nature, hyaluronic acid retains water like a sponge and has the ability to absorb a thousand times more than its own weight and plays an important role in tissue hydration, lubrication and cellular function. In short, it is an excellent skin moisturiser.

•When the body cannot produce enough of coenzyme Q10 on its own anymore, then low molecular weight hyaluronic acid can penetrate through the skin to reestablish the hyaluronic acid content to more youthful levels.

6. Pseudo Collagen - Derived from Brewers Yeast, not sourced from animals or GM crops. Just as the name implies, Pseudo Collagen mimics the action of collagen and imparts greater elasticity, more resilience and a youthful look to skin through its moisture-binding and film-forming properties -

This complex is responsible for providing turgor and shape inside the cell in a similar way to sugar/ protein complexes in the dermis. It has been demonstrated that pseudo collagen has excellent moisture binding properties, making it especially suited as a soluble collagen replacement

7. Remodelling Intense – Spilanthes Acmella Flower Extract. It is a 100% natural, plant-derived ingredient. It is an oily extract of Spilanthes acmella, which is cultivated in South Africa.

It is an active ingredient which has been proven to restructure, firm and smooth the face and body and is especially beneficial on dry and mature skin.

Use a small amount daily (morning and evening) can be used under make up.
